What is this Gospel we talk about? What is the Gospel of Christ?
The word gospel literally means “good news.” And the gospel of our Lord Jesus is the good news of what He has done for us. Good news brings joy and gladness—not fear or shame. When the true gospel is preached, people respond with rejoicing in their hearts. That’s why there’s such celebration when someone accepts Jesus and is saved.
The Gospel is the good news that salvation is available and free.
Jesus finished the work—fully and completely. And what He accomplished is so vast and multi-layered that we are still uncovering all He purchased and all He brought us into.

The Problem Sin Created
The gospel is God’s message to humanity: I have made a way for you to come back to Me.
In the beginning, sin separated us from God. We lost our original design—created in His image, ruling and reigning on the earth as He lived in and through us. But sin entered through Adam and Eve and began to spread rapidly, because they reproduced after their own kind. Humanity took on a sinful nature and lost connection with our holy God.
Because sin has no place in God, we lost our place in Him. And when we were no longer God’s own, the devil gained legal claim over us. He began to rule, not just over individuals, but over the world. And he did devastating damage—bringing distance between us and God, destruction to the earth, and despair to our hearts.
God’s Response: Relentless Love
Imagine the heartbreak of a Father watching His beloved creation drift so far away that they no longer recognize Him—or even want Him. Many picture God as a distant, angry judge waiting to punish us. But Scripture repeatedly reveals Him as a good Father—rich in mercy and overflowing with love.
In His mercy, God didn’t destroy the world or start over. Though He could have said, “This isn’t working. Shut it down. I have billions of angels—I don’t need humans,” He didn’t. Instead, He made a plan. Over and over again, He reached out to us. And finally, He destroyed the power of sin and built a path back to Himself.
Here’s the key: it’s now our choice whether or not we walk that path.
Jesus: The Way Back Home
Jesus became the door to God.
And we walk through that door when we hear and receive the gospel—the good news that beyond this door is beauty, life, and peace.
This life doesn’t start in heaven. It starts here and now, the moment you say yes to Jesus. The gospel is about entering into a life with God, being restored to our original design, where God lives in and through us again.
Some have reduced the gospel to a decision between heaven and hell. But when the apostles preached the gospel in the book of Acts, they didn’t emphasize either. The Gospel isn’t just about avoiding hell. It’s about being saved from the grip of sin and death. It’s about receiving life—God’s own life.
What Happens When You Believe
When you accept Jesus, you identify with His death. Your sin is washed away. And in its place, you receive His life.
Heaven and hell come into play only when a person rejects Jesus. Hell is not God’s punishment for rejecting His Son. It’s the consequence of not accepting Him.
God has already judged the devil, and those who belong to him will follow him into eternal separation. But the good news is: Jesus died so you don’t have to belong to the devil anymore.
God Is Not the Punisher—He’s the Rescuer
Don’t see God as someone eager to punish. See Him as a Father who has done everything to rescue His beloved. He has already saved us—all of us—but we must choose to accept that salvation.
If you haven’t yet received the gospel of Jesus, please do so now. Come to the Father. He loves you deeply. He can change your life and show you the beauty He created you for.
If you’ve already accepted the good news, that’s amazing. Now go tell others what Jesus has done. Tell them He wants them. Tell them He has made a way.
Love Always Gives a Choice
Some people struggle with the idea that a loving God could allow people to go to hell. But here's the truth: His love for us is what gives us a choice.
He has done everything possible to bring us home. But if we don’t choose Him, we’re choosing the one who’s already condemned.
God doesn’t send us to hell. We follow the one we’ve aligned with.

Heaven is not for the perfect—it’s for the redeemed.
Hell is not for the hated—it’s for the unrescued.
Choose Wisely
The Gospel is the invitation to life. It’s not just an escape from hell—it’s a return to design, a reunion with God, a restoration of everything sin tried to steal.
Jesus is the doorway.
The gospel is the invitation.
Love is the reason.
And the choice is yours.
I love you,
Oyin.
