Valuable!

You Are Valuable Because of Who Made You
Most people appreciate beauty - especially when it comes to art. That’s why museums and galleries are filled with millions of visitors each year. The Louvre in Paris, for example, welcomes nearly 9 million visitors annually, largely because it houses the most famous painting in the world: the Mona Lisa.

I haven’t visited the Louvre yet, but I hope to go someday. And yes, I want to see the Mona Lisa for myself. What fascinates me isn’t just the painting itself, but the divided opinion people have about it. Some admire it deeply for its technique and the mystery surrounding its subject; others say it’s underwhelming in person.
So why is it the most valuable painting in the world, estimated at almost $1 billion?
Because of who painted it: Leonardo da Vinci.
The value of the painting is largely attributed to the value and brilliance of its creator. In simple terms: the Mona Lisa is priceless because of da Vinci’s name and legacy.
What Does This Have to Do With You?
If you’re a Christian, you believe that God created the heavens, the earth, and everything in it - including you. He is the Master Artist, the Original Designer. And just like the intricacy of the cosmos or the complexity of a flower, you were created with intention, beauty, and meaning.
Just look at how wonderfully we’re made—our bodies, yes, but also our minds, emotions, desires, and thoughts. Humanity is so profoundly complex that we can’t even begin to fully study or understand ourselves. We are the crown of creation, ruling the earth, stewarding the environment, and possessing something no other creature has: a mind capable of reason, imagination, and worship.
Yet how often do we look in the mirror and feel… worthless?
We Struggle to See Our Worth
We feel ugly because we don’t match society’s definition of beauty.
We feel unintelligent because we can’t do what others can.
We feel unworthy because our lives don’t look like a popular influencer’s highlight reel.
And sometimes, we swing the other way—thinking we’re better than others because of our looks, wealth, intellect, or status. In some tragic cases, people even treat animals better than fellow human beings.
That’s heartbreaking. And it misses the point entirely.
Your Value Is in the One Who Made You
When God designed you, He was intentional.
You are His workmanship, His masterpiece, His glory piece.
But even more important than your design is the value He placed on you.
When sin separated us from Him, He paid the ultimate price to bring us back: the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ.
That’s how much you matter.
You are not valuable because you are flawless. You are valuable because the flawless One chose to pay everything to redeem you.
Just like the Mona Lisa, your worth is rooted in who made you and who values you.
We All Have the Same Price Tag

We are all different—unique in design, personality, and gifting—but we all carry the same price tag: the blood of Jesus.
There isn’t one person who was priced at “50 ounces of blood” and another who only cost “1 ounce.” No.
Jesus gave all of Himself for each of us. Equally.
So why do we compare ourselves?
Why do we think we’re more—or less—valuable than someone else?
That mindset dishonors the price that was paid for us.
Tell yourself:
I am valuable.
I am just as valuable as the next person.
Jesus died for me and for them.
True Humility Is Agreeing With God
Your job is to unlock your potential by looking to your Creator.
Humility isn’t thinking low of yourself.
Humility is thinking of yourself the way God thinks of you.
It is not humility to call yourself unworthy.
It is pride to reject the value God has already placed on you.
It is pride to think you can earn what Jesus already paid for.
It is pride to say the cross wasn’t enough to make you whole.
James 4:6 says,
“God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
So humble yourself - by accepting what He’s done for you.
You can’t earn it. You can only receive it.
You Are Valuable Because He Says So
Not because of how you look.
Not because of what you do.
Not because of what people think.
You are valuable because God says you are.
You are worthy because He made you so.
You are priceless because you carry His signature.
I love you,
Oyin.
