Package Delivered: Receiving the Full Blessings of Jesus

I love the convenience of having my orders delivered. Maybe it’s because I don’t have to leave home to get what I want. Even when I place an order myself, there’s something exciting about receiving the package, opening it, and holding in my hands what I chose from a screen.

Even more thrilling is when someone else sends me a gift. A text or call might say, “Hey, I thought of you and got you something special. You should receive it in a few days.” I wait, ‘patiently’ of course, but the anticipation is real. The thoughtfulness of the sender, the excitement of the surprise—it all combines into a feeling of gratitude and joy.

If the package contains multiple items, I appreciate each one. One item may stand out more, but every part of the gift matters.

Now imagine receiving a gift that restores you entirely- spirit, soul, and body - a gift that brings healing, deliverance, peace, and wholeness. That’s exactly what Jesus did for us through His sacrifice on the cross. Salvation isn’t just about forgiveness of sins—it’s a complete package of blessings meant to transform your life completely.

In this post, we’ll explore the full blessings Jesus purchased for you, how to receive them, and why leaving any part of this gift unopened is missing out on God’s perfect plan for your life.

What Jesus’ Package Really Means: Salvation for Spirit, Soul, and Body

When Jesus died for us, He sent the ultimate package of blessings—Salvation. In Greek, this is called SOZO, meaning to save, rescue, deliver, heal, and preserve.

Through Jesus, we receive more than just forgiveness of sins. We receive total salvation, which includes:

  • Spiritual restoration

  • Emotional and soul healing

  • Physical healing and health

  • Deliverance from bondages

  • Protection and preservation

  • Peace, prosperity, and soundness

Jesus’ sacrifice restored us completely—spirit, soul, and body—bringing us back into fellowship with God and the fullness of His goodness. As Paul reminds us in Colossians 2:10, “You are complete in Christ, having been brought into His fullness.” Everything Jesus enjoys as Lord over all, we now share in.

Isaiah’s Prophecy: A Preview of Our Total Deliverance

The prophet Isaiah foretold what Jesus would accomplish on the cross. Isaiah 53 highlights the completeness of Jesus’ sacrifice:

  • “He was pierced and crushed for our transgressions and iniquities.” Our sins, the barrier separating us from God, were dealt with. Our nature is transformed—from sinner to saint.

  • “The chastisement of our peace was on Him.” Our fears, struggles, and lack of peace were placed on Jesus, so we could receive His peace—a peace that passes understanding—and stand in confidence in our righteousness before God.

  • “By His wounds we are healed.” Isaiah predicted our physical healing through Jesus’ suffering. Peter confirms in 1 Peter 2:24 that this prophecy was fulfilled. Healing, health, and wholeness are now ours.

Receiving the Full Package: Don’t Pick and Choose

Jesus’ work on the cross is complete. The package has been delivered. But here’s the question: will you receive all that Jesus purchased for you?

  • Will you embrace everything, or pick and choose?

  • Will you thank Him for some blessings but ignore others?

  • Will you leave what He paid for untouched because of doubt or disbelief?

Commit to learning and accepting all that was purchased for you on the cross. You can only step into what you know you already have. Jesus loves you so much that He paid the ultimate price to give you everything that pertains to life and godliness. Don’t let it go to waste.

Key Takeaways

  • Salvation is a complete package, including forgiveness, healing, deliverance, preservation, and peace.

  • Jesus’ sacrifice was all-encompassing, leaving nothing untouched.

  • Receiving the full blessings of Jesus requires faith, gratitude, and intentional acceptance.

I love you,

Oyin.
