There is a beautiful truth that we are slowly uncovering in this journey of wholeness:
God does not just call us—He partners with us.
In previous posts, we established two important foundations:
God wants to be involved in every aspect of our lives
When we take steps in the right direction, He amplifies those steps
Now, we take it a step further.
If both of these are true, then the natural conclusion is this:
We are called into partnership with God.
Not passive living or striving alone. But a life where we walk with Him and work with Him.
God Works With Us and In Us
One of my favorite scriptures, which I have found to be a comforting and empowering truth, is this:
“For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” — Philippians 2:13
Notice the two dimensions:
God works in you — shaping your desires, aligning your heart
God works through you — empowering your actions
This is the essence of partnership.
God does not stand at a distance, waiting for you to figure life out.
He comes close.
He places His desires within you. He gives you the ability to act on them.
And then He strengthens the very actions He inspired.

The Pattern Throughout Scripture
When you look through the Bible, you begin to see a consistent pattern:
God partners with man—and then magnifies what man does.
Consider a few examples:
Moses and Pharaoh
Moses stood before one of the most powerful empires of his time. On his own, he was no match.
But God partnered with him.
Moses spoke. God moved.
The result? Deliverance for an entire nation.
David and Goliath
David showed up with a sling and a stone.
That was his part.
But the victory was not in the stone—it was in the partnership.
David acted. God amplified.
A giant fell. And a nation was delivered.
Gideon
Gideon started unsure, even hesitant.
Yet God worked with what he had, even narrowing down Gideon’s army to a seemingly insignificant number – 300.
What seemed insufficient became more than enough when God was involved.
Samson
Samson’s strength was supernatural, but it was not self-generated. Over and over we see it mentioned- the Spirit of the Lord came upon Him.
It was God working through him for a purpose.
Again, a nation was delivered.
The pattern is clear:
God does not need much—He just needs your participation.
The Same God, the Same Pattern
The Bible tells us that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
If He partnered with His people then,
If He amplified their actions then,
If He worked through them to accomplish His purposes—
Why would it be any different now?
Especially when we consider this truth:
God desires to be involved in every aspect of your life.
Not just your prayer life.
Not just your spiritual growth.
But also:
your habits
your discipline
your health
your daily decisions
What This Means for Your Health Journey
This is where everything begins to come together.
When you choose to care for your body…
When you decide to eat in a way that nourishes you…
When you commit to moving your body…
When you create space for rest…
If your heart is aligned with God’s desire for wholeness, you are not doing these things alone!
He partners with you.
You take the step. He supplies the grace.
You show up. He strengthens you.
You begin. He multiplies.
We Do Not Strive—We Partner
Many people approach change with a mindset of striving:
“I need more discipline.”
“I need more willpower.”
“I just need to try harder.”
But partnership with God shifts the perspective.
It becomes:
“Lord, help me.”
“Show me what to do.”
“Strengthen me as I take this step.”
This is not passivity.
You still act.
But your action is now supported by grace.
Let Him In

Sometimes the only thing missing is an invitation.
We try to change on our own.
We try to build habits on our own.
We try to sustain discipline on our own.
But God is not forcing His way into our lives.
He is waiting to be invited.
So what happens when you begin to involve Him intentionally?
You ask for His wisdom before making decisions
You seek His help in your weak areas
You acknowledge Him in your daily routines
And something shifts.
Not instantly and definitely not perfectly.
But steadily.
A Simple Question
What area of your life have you been trying to manage on your own?
Your health?
Your habits?
Your discipline?
Your consistency?
What would it look like to invite God into that space?
A Life of Partnership
God is not looking for perfection.
He is looking for partnership with you.
He is not asking you to do everything.
He is asking you to walk with Him as He works in you and through you.
So take the step.
However small it may seem.
And trust that as you move in the right direction,
He will amplify it.
I love you,
Oyin.
